In only their first season the 65+ walking footballers made it to the National Finals played at Lilleshall last Sunday!
After beating Bicester in the WFA Regional Final it was off to Lilleshall to compete in the National Finals, a competition that brings together the 8 regional winners from around the UK to decide the best of the best. This was our first year in the competition at this age group and it has to be
said that just reaching these National Finals was a great achievement however Hemel Hempstead did the club proud getting through the group stages and only eventually losing in the semi final in a penalty shootout to the eventual winners. At no time outplayed and ore than held our own against all oppositions. A big well done to all the players involved and lets hope we can go even further next year.
