ACADEMY UPDATE: Open Evening Monday Hemel Hempstead Town FC U18s are hosting an open evening on Monday, 25th October, for prospective players for the 2022/23 season.
This event is mainly focused on current Year 11s who will finish their GCSE's this summer. The club can also welcome young people currently in Year 12 to start their programme with us in September 2022.
The academy programme at the Tudors combines school like study with a full-time football programme. Players who receive their scholarship offer will be able to study at Vauxhall Road and gain qualifications over two years at the equivalent of three A levels. This will allow them to progress to university if they want to.
We understand the value of traditional education, but the Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club programme enables young people to get themselves ready for a career in football. Players will train every day and play in league and cup matches at a high level of college football.
The team will also be entered into the FA Youth Cup, youth football's most prestigious trophy.
Coaching will be delivered by UEFA and FA qualified coaches, and all football activities will take place within the normal school timetable.
Within the syllabus for education, the players will have the opportunity to gain work experience within the industry, gain experience and qualification in football coaching, and gain an understanding of other career pathways in sport.
