George Williams is a player who has been familiar with his surroundings at Hemel Hempstead Town FC, with his first taste of action coming from a loan spell from Boreham Wood during the 2022/23 season. Having made a pleasing first impression in this short stint, Williams moved to the Tudors on a permanent deal in the summer of 2023, and has since gone from strength to strength as an attacking midfielder.

 

His first full season at the club saw Williams deployed as a central attacking midfielder, where he was able to find his eye for goal on 12 occasions in the 2023/24 campaign. There were many instances where ‘Willo’ was the player to turn to, which symbolised his importance to the team and led to another season as a Tudor.

The 2024/25 season saw Williams showcase his exceptional playmaking ability, recording 12 assists and establishing himself as an integral player within the first team. Under the systems of both Bobby Wilkinson and Lee Allinson, Williams shifted to operating as a right winger and thrived with his inviting deliveries into the box and ability to facilitate the play.

Having developed through the youth setup at MK Dons before moving to Fulham, Williams has had experience of international football, with 7 senior appearances for Wales. He continues to look to develop heading into his third full season as a Tudor.
