Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club is delighted to announce the arrival of full-back Stefan Parkes, subject to FA Approval.

A very successful product of Fulham's U18 set up, Stefan joined the Fulham U18s side just 2 days after turning 15 - and eventually captained the side. He signed his first professional contract with Fulham and even featured in the line-up in their Premier League campaign vs Newcastle United. Due to injury, he was released by Fulham and signed permanently with last season's Southern League Premier League winners Walton & Hersham.

He was also part of England International U15 and U16 squads after impressing with Fulham at youth level.

"Stefan comes to us from Walton and Hersham, and was part of their side that won the Southern League last year and so he knows how to win games. The Swans were the best footballing side below Step Two last year, and so Stefan is another player that likes to get the ball down, is technically strong, and in terms of the attributes that you'd look for from a full-back he has got the requisite ticks. Darion impressed last term with his marauding style down the left-hand side, and Stefan represents a sensible candidate to replace his output in the short-term while Darion gets back up to speed, but also gives us a good option that will allow us to play Darion slightly further forward."

We want our full-backs to get involved in the attacking play, and so Stefan is the perfect profile for what we are looking for. He is still only 22 years of age and out of a good academy at Fulham, and so we are confident that we have got a good young player on our books with Stefan.
