The National League Joins Hands with Level Playing Field

In a landmark move towards inclusivity, The National League has proudly announced its partnership with Level Playing Field for the national campaign, #UniteForAccess. This campaign is a resounding celebration of accessibility and inclusivity for disabled football fans, aiming to break down barriers that hinder their enjoyment of live sports.

According to recent surveys conducted by Level Playing Field, a staggering 23% of disabled fans feel restricted from attending certain sports or sporting venues due to accessibility issues. This statistic underscores the urgent need for action to ensure that all fans, regardless of ability, can enjoy the thrill of live football matches.

The National League, known for its commitment to the community and the spirit of the game, has embraced the #UniteForAccess campaign wholeheartedly. Mark Ives, the General Manager of the National League, emphasized the league's dedication to ensuring accessibility for all. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between clubs, supporters, and stakeholders to pave the way for meaningful change.

In line with this initiative, today's fixture Vs Havant & Waterlooville is dedicated to the #UniteForAccess campaign. Hemel Hempstead Town FC extends a warm welcome to disabled football fans, encouraging them to experience the excitement of the game at The Focus Community Arena.

The Focus Community Arena stands as a beacon of inclusivity, offering dedicated spectator zones and disabled facilities within the ground to ensure a comfortable viewing experience for all supporters. Additionally, the club provides disabled parking spaces upon request, demonstrating their commitment to accessibility.

Disabled supporters planning to attend fixtures at The Focus Community Arena are encouraged to reach out to the club via email at secretary@hemelfc.com to secure a disabled parking space ahead of the matchday.

As we unite for access, let us reaffirm our commitment to creating an inclusive sporting environment where every fan feels welcomed and valued. Together, we can break down barriers and ensure that the beautiful game is truly accessible to all.

Join us in this journey towards inclusivity, as we stand together, united for access. Let's make football a game for everyone to enjoy, regardless of ability.
