The club is deeply saddened by the devastating loss of Olly Frogell, who passed away on 4 November.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences continue to be with Olly’s wife, his family, and everyone who knew and loved him. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, and as this has been an active police investigation, the club felt it was appropriate to stay silent publicly until now.
During this time, we have remained in close contact with Olly’s family privately and have offered our support in every way we can. We know this loss has deeply affected many people in our community.
Over the coming weeks, we will be looking at an appropriate way to honour Olly’s memory, potentially through a dedicated football match, a moment of applause or a community fundraiser. We will do this in consultation with his family to ensure anything we do is respectful and welcomed.
We will continue to cooperate fully with the authorities and ask that everyone joins us in respecting the family’s privacy as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
For those wishing to pay their respects, the family have shared the following funeral details:
Thursday 11th December at 12:30. Service at St. Mary and St. Joseph Church, Boxmoor.
Followed by a service at 2:30pm at West Herts Crematorium.
Please note that floral tributes are family only at this stage. Rest in Peace Olly.
