The History
Slough Town have become an established side in the National League South since their promotion to the division in the 2017/18. However, their history dates back to 1890, where they were originally named Slough FC, playing their matches at the Godolphin Stadium. Following their early years in the Southern Alliance and Great Western Suburban Leagues, Slough began their endeavour in the Spartan League.
Slough were renamed to Slough Town following the Second World War, where they broke away to join the newly-formed Corinthian League, which they won in the 1950/51 season. During the 1980s, the Rebels were champions on two occasions, earning promotion to the Football Conference (now known as the National League). Following four seasons at Conference level, Slough experienced relegations, reaching as low as the Southern Football League Division One South & West.
They also experienced progression in the FA Cup, beating Walsall on two occasions. Their 2017/18 season saw an excellent performance from the Rebels, earning promotion through the playoffs to the National League South. They currently sit four points ahead of the relegation zone this season, so they will be looking to pick up points away at the Tudors as they aim to move away from the drop.

The Manager: Scott Davies
Scott Davies has been a member of Slough Town since 2018, joining originally as a player. However, he took the role of first team manager in 2022 and contains a wealth of experience and knowledge. Davies will be looking to avenge the 0-1 defeat suffered in the reverse fixture as he looks to push the Rebels away from the relegation zone. Davies signed a new contract on New Year’s Day, keeping him at the club until the conclusion of the 2027/28 season which shows how highly he is valued at the club

The Skipper: Henry Ochieng
Despite being ruled out for the rest of this season with an ACL injury, Henry Ochieng has been and continues to be a key figure within the setup at Slough Town. Ochieng joined the Rebels at the beginning of the 2024/25 season following his departure from Chelmsford City, and has proved to be no stranger to non-league football. Operating in midfield, Ochieng has played for Braintree Town, Welwyn Garden City, Billericay, Chelmsford and Aldershot in non-league as he had built up his leadership and experience.
CURRENT FORM:
Despite Tuesday’s defeat to Chippenham Town, Slough had built together a strong winning run, with victories over strong teams in Eastbourne, Chesham and Maidenhead. Having won three games of their last five, the Rebels will be aiming to continue their momentum to push for points to climb up the league table.

ONES TO WATCH:

Name: Jared Myers

This season has seen Jared Myers announce himself into Step 2 as a threatening and direct right winger. Joining the Rebels from Bedfont Sports, this is the highest level that Myers has played at, where he has looked threatening when he is on the ball. Myers has excellent ability when one-on-one with a defender, which has been rewarded with five goals and two assists in 25 league appearances

Name: Wiktor Makowski
Joined: May 2025
Position: Winger
Having formerly played for Slough’s Under 21s setup, Wiktor Makowski made his return to the Rebels following the conclusion of last season and has proved himself to be a player to be called upon in the big moments. After last season’s contribution of 22 goals in 41 appearances for Flackwell Heath at Step 4, Makowski has continued his impressive form with 16 goal contributions in 23 appearances in all contributions.

Name: Kiki Oshilaja
Joined: June 2025
Position: Centre Back
Having joined the Rebels from Cray Valley Paper Mills, Kiki Oshilaja has been an important force within Slough’s backline, with his skill and leadership being key qualities. Similar to Makowski and Myers, this is Oshilaja’s first opportunity at Step 2 where he has proved to be a reliable defender. Playing at centre-back, Oshilaja has also had his share of goal contributions, scoring 3 goals in 18 league appearances.
