Founded: 1870

Nickname: The Magpies

Manager: Ryan Peters

Stadium: York Road

Capacity: Approx. 4,200

History:

Maidenhead United are one of the oldest football clubs in the world, established in 1870, and have played at York Road since 1871, making it the oldest continuously used senior ground in the world.

After years in Isthmian and Southern League football, the Magpies established themselves in the National League under long-serving manager Alan Devonshire. They were most recently relegated to the National League South at the end of the 2024/25 season by a margin of just one point, ending an impressive spell in the fifth

tier of English football.

Despite relegation, Maidenhead have retained much of their competitive identity and remain a strong force in the National League South under new manager Ryan Peters, who took over as Devonshire’s decision to retire from football management in November 2025.

The Manager:

Taking the from long-term manager Alan Devonshire was never going to be an easy task for Ryan Peters, but being a former player and being part of the management team since 2015 has certainly helped with the transition into management.

With two games under his belt at the helm of Maidenhead, Peters has walked away with all six points as he looks to keep his perfect run going as a manager.

The Skipper:

Will De Havilland became captain of Maidenhead United at the start of the 2025/26 season and has been a mainstay at the back as the club bid to return to the National League at the first time of asking.

Joining the club in the 2021/22 season, De Havilland has racked up a number of appearances for Maidenhead throughout his time with them in the National League and has now become one of their most senior players and leaders, leading by example through tough defensive performances and even chipping in with 4 goals in

18 appearances so far this season.

Liam Dulson - Forward

Top scorer this season with 5 goals, providing a focal point in attack and key goals in tight games.  Only joining Maidenhead at the start of this season, he has become an important player quickly and continues to show why in games.

ree

Remy Clerima - Midfielder

A creative presence in midfield, involved in key goals early in the campaign and contributing to Maidenhead’s attacking thrust from deeper areas. It is likely that if Maidenhead have played well, Remy has been at the heart of it providing a vital balance in the midfield.
