Club History

Hereford FC were born out of the ashes of Hereford United, a club with a proud history that included the FA Cup giant killers run of 1972 and reaching the third-tier of English football on a number of occasions. Sadly off-the-field issues led to them folding in December 2014.

The new club were placed into the Midland Football League for the 2015/16 season. They were able to play from Edgar Street, kept The Bulls nickname and were resplendent in white shirts and black shorts.

A hat-trick of promotions was completed in 2017/18 as the Southern League Premier title was secured with three games to spare. It was also during this campaign that the club enjoyed its best run in the FA Cup since reforming. The first half of the 2022/23 campaign saw a memorable run to the first round proper of the FA Cup where the live BBC TV cameras covered our clash with Portsmouth, a tie that was played just days after the sad passing of Hereford United and FA Cup legend, Ronnie Radford.

Losing to Southern League Premier side Bishops Stortford in the third qualifying round last season, Caddis will be looking to do one better this time around.

With over 50 appearances for the Bulls, Hudson is a well-known name around Edgar Street and a reliable leader, looking to lead his team to another good season in the National League North.

LAST FIVE:

A steady start to the season for The Bulls who sit at a respectable 14th in the league after 9 games played - After 3 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses, Hereford have had a mixed bad of results.

Their FA Cup journey started in the Second Round Qualifying round away at Sporting Khalsa - the first fixture ending in an abandonment due to an off-pitch incident and their second fixture being replayed the Saturday just gone. Due to the time constraints, the game was to be played to full completion and Hereford’s experience shone through, picking up the winner in the second half of extra time.
