The Key Info:

Manager: Spencer Day

Nickname: 'Boro, The Yellows

Founded: 1967

Ground: Saunders Transport Community Stadium

Capacity: 3000

History:

Founded in 2007, as a rebirth of Farnborough Town FC, who were liquidated, Farnborough FC started life in the Southern League Division One South and West. Their first season proved to be a huge success for ‘Boro as they won the league, securing promotion into the Southern League Premier Division.

The season after, Farnborough almost secured back-to-back promotions, losing in the playoff final to Gloucester City. However, ‘Boro were able to right the wrongs in the 2009/10 season, winning the Southern League and securing promotion to the Blue Square Premier.

They spent four years before their relegation was confirmed in the 2014/15 campaign to the Isthmian Premier League. They were relegated back to the Southern League in the 2015/16 season. They were quick to bounce back after the Playoff Final victory at home to Barton Rovers.

After seasons of consolidation in the 3rd tier of Non-League, Farnborough earned their promotion to the National League South, following another Playoff victory in the 2021/22 season. Since then, ‘Boro have become an established National League South side.

First Team Manager: Spencer Day

ree

Spencer Day has been a familiar face to Farnborough Football Club. Having entered the management role in November 2011, Day has dealt with both relegations and promotions with ‘Boro, and has instilled stability and success to the club. Having guided the team to promotions in both the 2016/17 season and 2021/22 season, Day is knowledgeable when it comes to connecting with his players, with his extensive knowledge of the opposition, alongside his tactical knowhow.

After a mixed start to the season and his team currently in the bottom half of the table, Spencer will be looking to improve on his finish last season, which saw The Yellows sit just 2 spots below the play-off places.

Club Captain: Ollie Robinson

ree

Continuing his captaincy from the previous season, Ollie Robinson penned a new one-year deal with ‘Boro over the summer.

Playing his youth football at Carshalton and Kingstonian, he progressed into Non-League football with Walton Casuals and Molesey Town before spending six seasons at Metropolitan Police, where he went close to spoiling the Farnborough dream in the dramatic Play-Off Semi-Final.

Playing at the heart of the defensive line, Robinson will be looking to put a spanner in The Tudors continuing run of good form.

Their form:

Farnborough’s start to the season has been a rocky one, with only 2 wins and 2 draws from 8 in the league, and they currently sit in the bottom half of the table at 18th.

After a point gained from previous play-off position Eastbourne, the Yellows thought somewhat that things were going their way keeping a draw against a previously tough side. However results began to falter as they lost 3-2 to Chesham United.

After a mixed bag of results throughout the league, their biggest win of the season so far saw them travel to a packed out Chelmsford City where they scored 5 to gain all 3 points from the full-time side.

After this result however, back at home, they succumbed to a loss against previously promoted Dover Athletic. To then throw a spanner in the works, an identical fixture for the FA Cup Second Qualifier saw ‘Boro sail through to the 3rd Round with a 4-1 victory!

Starting at Dagenham & Redbridge’s U18s, Mason Bloomfield sits at ‘Boro’s top scorer list with 4 goals to his name. Moving a lot between teams between EFL and non-league, Bloomfield’s seasonal performance has been mixed as his initial move to Farnborough saw him bag 11 goals in 21 games.

Recently, Mason contributed to two goals in their big triumph over Chelmsford City as well as one in the ‘Boro’s recent FA Cup win against Dover Athletic. With Farnborough goal contributions currently below their conceded goals, Bloomfield will be looking to tip the tally.

Dominic Poleon

Position | Striker

ree

Prolific Poleon departed Ebbsfleet United at the end of 24/25 having netted 81 goals in 167 games across four seasons in The National League South and The National League. Not only a 2022/23 National League South winner, Dominic is also a Saint Lucia International and has scored three times for his country having just made two appearances to date. His season with the ‘Boro so far has a mixed one but his goal contributions have been steady, scoring 5 across all competitions and assisting 2.

Dominic will be looking to extend his goal-scoring prowess but has a tough defensive line to contend with.

Renny Smith

Joined | July 2025

Position | Midfielder

ree

Tudors fans will recognise Renny as someone that Bobby Wilkinson bought into the squad at the start of last season, however he only contributed to one game with Hemel FC in our opening draw vs Salisbury. An energetic and versatile midfielder, Smith started his Youth career with Chelsea, before switching to Arsenal where he featured in the UEFA Youth League during his Scholarship.

Renny was sold to Italian Serie B side Vicenza the following summer, before spells at Lega Pro Mantova, Südtirol, FC Dordrecht - who he captained - and WSG Tirol. He made a return to England in September 2023 and signed for National League Oxford City - scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 Boxing Day victoryat Dorking Wanderers.
