The History

Founded in 2007, as a rebirth of Farnborough Town FC, who were liquidated, Farnborough FC started life in the Southern League Division One South and West. Their first season proved to be a huge success for ‘Boro as they won the league, securing promotion into the Southern League Premier Division. The season after, Farnborough almost secured back-to-back promotions, losing in the playoff final to Gloucester City. However, ‘Boro were able to right the wrongs in the 2009/10 season, winning the Southern League and securing promotion to the Blue Square Premier. They spent four years before their relegation was confirmed in the 2014/15 campaign to the Isthmian Premier League. They were relegated back to the Southern League in the 2015/16 season. They were quick to bounce back after the Playoff Final victory at home to Barton Rovers. After seasons of consolidation in the 3rd tier of Non-League, Farnborough earned their promotion to the National League South, following another Playoff victory in the 2021/22 season. Since then, ‘Boro have become an established National League South side.

The Manager: Spencer Day

Spencer Day has been a familiar face to Farnborough Football Club. Having entered the management role in November 2011, Day has dealt with both relegations and promotions with ‘Boro, and has instilled stability and success to the club. Having guided the team to promotions in both the 2016/17 season and 2021/22 season, Day is knowledgeable when it comes to connecting with his players, with his extensive knowledge of the opposition, alongside his tactical knowhow.

The Skipper: Ollie Robinson

Joining Farnborough ahead of the 2022/23 season having previously been captain at Met Police, leadership has been a key quality of Ollie Robinson to this Farnborough side. He has been a regular feature in the squad for ‘Boro as the centre back has appeared in 30 of Farnborough’s 34 games in the National League South this season. He currently has three goals to his name this season, demonstrating his ability in both boxes defensively and in an attacking sense.

Ones to Watch:

Name: Rakish Bingham

Joined: June 2025

Position: Striker

Since joining Farnborough ahead of this season from Ebbsfleet United, Rakish Bingham has become a key source of goals for his new side in this campaign. The experienced striker has experienced promotion at this level, winning the 2022/23 campaign with the Fleet where he spent five years. Having had tastes of Football League action previously during his career, Bingham has developed his skills and leadership, leading the line for ‘Boro. His 10 goals this season will be something to watch out for as the Tudors defence will need to remain focused.

Name: Toby Bower

Joined: August 2025

Position: Full Back

Whilst this is Toby Bower’s first loan spell away from parent club Charlton Athletic, he has been a key feature in the Farnborough back line as his consistency from full back has been particularly impressive. Having played in the Addick’s youth setup since under nine level, the 20-year-old worked his way to captain the under 18 side to a third successive Professional Development League 2 South title in 2022/23. He is a reliable member of the team, accumulating over 2500 minutes of football played so far this season.

Name: Hakeem Sandah

Joined: August 2025

Position: Winger

Farnborough have made use of loaning from Football League sides effectively this season, with one of these players being Hakeem Sandah. Having played in the youth setups at Tottenham Hotspur and Huddersfield Town, Sandah has most recently played a role in the Colchester United Under 21 side. The young winger has already had his first taste of non league, with loan spells at Maldon & Tiptree and Walton & Hersham as his experience at Farnborough is continuing to aid his development. Sandah has a quick turn of pace and will look to cause a threat for the Tudors full backs.
