ONE MORE YEAR | Darion Dowrich

Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club is delighted to announce that defender Darion Dowrich will be staying a Tudor for another season!

Darion has chosen to stay with the Tudors to focus on his recovery and the club has welcomed him with open arms.

Darion provided us with these words to update you all:

'I appreciate Hemel supporting me in the opportunity to move into full-time football, however I didn't feel comfortable making the move at the time due to the issues highlighted in my medical. At this stage, my main focus is recovery and getting better, and I feel that Hemel Hempstead Town is the right place to do that.

After last season and what we achieved as a group, I feel the club really wants to push on as a team and the ambitious environment of the club I feel is a place I will continue to thrive in.'

Chairman Dave Boggins says he is absolutely delighted that Darion is staying at the club for another season - and that loyalty speaks volumes for the character of Darion.

Some words from Lee Bircham about Darion's decision to stay:

"I'm absolutely over the moon to get Darion at the Focus for the upcoming season. I've met loads of young players in the my time but his attitude and maturity blew me away.

Darion has seen the work first hand that's been going on since I've walked in the building and what we've managed to keep and add to, so I am delighted that he also wants to give it another go.

He genuinely loves the club, the chairman and all of the supporters.
