Match report by Allan Mitchell
The Tudors continue to impress after an excellent week resulting in three victories and they picked up some silverware in the process, lifting the Herts Senior Cup.
Potters Bar proved to be worthy opponents on the day but the home side just had too much for them, especially in the second half when they made some timely substitutions which helped turn the game in their favour.
Both sides had their chances in an even first half but it was Hemel who took the lead on 35 minutes after a short period of pressure. Ade Azeez continued his excellent pre season scoring record when he received the ball at the back post, with his back to the goal he swivelled in the six yard box before smashing it home.
It looked as though that would be enough to give the Tudors the advantage going into the break but as the clock ticked down they they were guilty of trying to shepherd the ball out in the corner, a Potters Bar forward nicked it off the defender and quickly fed it into the box where Nana Kyei was unmarked and he made no mistake to level the scores.
Hemel took the game to The Scholars in the second period and retook the lead just past the hour mark when a great pass from our trialist found Azeez who drove through the middle before tucking the ball past Berman.
Just a couple of minutes later we saw the goal of the game and one worthy of winning any trophy when the Tudors cleared a corner to Joe White who raced up the pitch before chipping the advancing keeper to make it 3-1

There were more chances for Hemel before the final whistle but some brave goalkeeping by Berman kept them at bay so they had to settle for the two goal winning margin .
Kyle Ajayi lifted the trophy in front of the happy Tudor Army and things really do look to be clicking into place for Lee Allinson’s new look squad.

Man of the Match | Joe White
