Match report by Allan Mitchell
Hemel wrapped up their pre season schedule with a fine performance against a lively young Luton side at the Focus Community Arena.
There were chances at each end very early on in the game, the first fell to the home side when a misplaced pass out from the back found Finley Wilkinson to the right of the six yard box, he controlled the ball before driving in a shot from a tight angle that Henry Blackledge did well to save with his legs and the Luton keeper wasted no time getting it up the line where it was delivered into Sam Anderson who put his shot wide.
Blackledge saved another close range effort from Joe White as Hemel started to ramp up the pressure but Luton were always dangerous on the counter and they could have taken the lead when Anderson was sent clear, he rounded Michael Johnson and chipped the ball past him but Kyle Ajayi read the situation superbly and he headed the ball away from under the crossbar.
The Tudors broke the deadlock on the half hour mark when Ade Azeez raced into the box and after holding off a defender he slotted the ball home.

He added a second just before the interval when a long throw was cleverly flicked on by Jack Bateson and Azeez pounced at the back post to keep up his impressive pre season scoring run.
Hemel increased their lead just a couple of minutes into the second half when Miller Mathews-Lewis slid Kyle Ajayi into the box, he side stepped a defender before driving the ball home.
There were more chances at both ends with Zach Ionneides firing wide for Luton and Azeez also just missing the target from a similar position for Hemel.
The game followed the usual pattern in warm up games with several substitutions disrupting play somewhat but Hemel were still able to add a fourth goal before the end when George Williams did well down the right where drove down the line before pulling the ball back to Kareem Isiaka who somehow managed to loop a header up and over the keeper into the far corner of the net to complete the scoring.

Manager Lee Allinson reflected after the game saying it was a good performance from what were effectively two completely different line ups in the first and second half.
He is very pleased to get through pre season with no serious injuries with some very good performances all over the pitch. The big kick off is next Saturday and he said has some big decisions to make when he picks the side to face Maidstone who will start the season as one of the favourites for a promotion place.
Allinson also sent out a plea to the Hemel fans to get to the Stadium on Saturday, make some noise, bang the drum and get behind the team because they will be needed this coming season.
