Hemel Hempstead stayed unchanged for this FA Cup tie against National League North side Hereford Town, after their well fought victory over Farnborough a week ago.
Hemel started the half strong with a good chance saved brilliantly by Theo Richardson. Just a few minutes later Millar Matthews-Lewis brought out another good save from Richardson before winning the ball back and keeping his composure to strike again, but could only find the side netting. As the half went on Hereford brought themselves back into it with a lovely free-kick from Sterling-James, which was neatly caught by Johnson.
The game started to settle down throughout the middle of the half with the best highlight being a curling effort from Isiah to test the keeper once again. Hemel’s pressure paid off as Kyle Ajayi scored a close range volley after an attempted header flew just over him before Millar got a slight flick on the ball to Kyle who smashed the ball into the back of the net.

The Tudors started the second half poorly as Hereford created a few good chances, which led to them equalising with a free kick from Omari Sterling-James. It went from bad to worse for Hemel as Hereford scored again 60 minutes in with a scrappy goal from Rema
ye Campbell. From this point forward Hemel did their best to get back into the game with no luck until a chance from Millar Matthews-Lewis coolly drills the ball into the bottom left hand corner late on, to give the Tudors some hope of a comeback.

Despite some great efforts and opportunities from Hemel, there was no luck as the game drastically came to a close with 8 minutes of added time being played. This 2-2 result forces a replay against the Bulls with the FA Cup fourth round qualifying draw being held on Monday at 2PM.

What a match report this is outstanding!!
