MATCH REPORT | Hemel Town 1-3 Weston-super-Mare

A second half comeback from Weston super Mare saw Hemel Hempstead throw away a one goal lead as a double from Brad Ash inspired the visitors to victory. 

The home side started the game the strongest with some big chances being created to set the tone. One of which was executed well by Remaye Campbell, who took the ball down well and struck the ball well onto the post and into the bottom corner to give Hemel an early lead.

 The Seagull’s reacted quickly with some good chances to hit back at Hemel Hempstead. Towards the end of the second half, chances were happening for both sides with Remaye Campbell heading narrowly wide off a quality cross from Jake Tabor. 

This was followed up quickly by a long range effort from Will Dawes that was tipped away by Michael Johnson.

The second half saw a more calmed display of football from the start. Plenty of possession for both sides saw chances for the Tudors, but nothing came from them. 

As the second half went on, Weston super Mare started to see more of the ball and looked to get into the game.  

This came true in the 74th minute as Weston super Mare grabbed an equalising goal from the head of Britton, who got on the end of a well placed cross. Weston went on and scored again just three minutes after their equaliser, this time from Brad Ash, who flicked the ball past Michael Johnson to smash it into an empty net.

Five minutes after, Ash went on to tap in his second of the game and The Seagull’s third as a surprise Hemel collapse sees all three points head back to Weston super Mare.
