An encouraging performance from the Tudors brought us an end to end game against an in form Dorking Wanderers.

The visitors set up well and looked to create chances with Lee Angol getting the first one as his shot forced a low save from Glenn Morris. Not long afterwards, Alfie Rutherford found himself through on goal for The Wanderers and made sure to take his chance well by slotting the ball into the near post past Michael Johnson to give the home side an early lead.

Hemel Hempstead kept themselves in the game with a few promising chances. One of which being from Darion Dowrich, who ran through into the box and shot low and hard towards goal with Morris there once again with a save.

It didn't take long after that attempt for Hemel to equalise. With the ball bobbling round the box, George Williams made sure he was there to slap home his first of the night.

With the first half coming to an end, Dorking clumsily gave away a penalty and a chance for the Tudors to take the lead. After scoring the first one, Williams was there to send the ball into the top corner and Hemel into the lead.

Half time score: 1-2

The home side started the second half all guns blazing with a red hot Rutherford causing trouble for the Hemel defence. Just like they had been doing throughout the first half, the defence kept strong and held the lead with some decisive blocks. Even with the oncoming attacks from the home side, the visitors kept attacking as well with

Williams looking to become a hat trick hero from some long range efforts. Dorking's hard work would pay off as Dawid Rogalski latched onto a corner with his head to grab his side an equaliser in the latter stages of the game.

It took just six minutes and some brilliance from Josh Green to snatch back the lead once again for the Tudors. While being held back in the box the ball bobbles to Green, who takes it on the half volley into the far bottom corner causing an eruption from those in black. Despite all defensive efforts from Hemel Hempstead Rutherford bundled in his second and a crucial 89th minute equaliser to spoil a huge potential three points.

The four minutes added on saw end to end action with the ball flying between both halves but neither side could capitalise as we saw an action packed midweek match. Encouraging signs for the Tudors, who took tough opponents Dorking right to the final whistle.

Full time score: 3-3
