OPPOSITION FOCUS | Welling United (A)

📆 Saturday 12th August

⏰ 3:00 pm Kick Off

📌 J Hearnden Skip Hire Community Stadium, DA16 1SY

Following the Tudors brilliant display against Yeovil last week, coming out as 1-0 winners, we travel to Welling United for our second game of the 2023/24 season.

With a brilliant start to the campaign, Manager Brad Quinton and his men will want to carry on in the way that they have begun, with another positive result this weekend. The Tudors came out as underdog winners against Yeovil Town last Saturday with a 1-0 victory as forward Joe Iaciofano scored with 10 minutes left to go in the game as we went to put on a brilliant defensive display allowing us to hold on and take all three points to start the season in an ideal way.

The Opposition :

This weeks opposition is Welling United, nicknamed 'The Wings'. Located south of the River Thames, Welling United were founded in 1963. Currently managed by Danny Bloor, who was appointed earlier on in the summer, has not seen the start to life at the club he would have wished for after suffering a 5-2 defeat against newly promoted Truro City in the first game of the season. With The Wings surely looking to bounce back with a good performance against The Tudors.

Last Time Out :

Our last outing against The Wings was on the 28th of February in the National League South, which we came out 1-0 winners with a late goal granting The Tudors all three points on the road.

We look forward to seeing those of you that are travelling down this Saturday. Come on you Tudors 🔴⚪️
