We are delighted to welcome new signing Sam Mantom to the club. The 28 year old midfielder has bags of Football League experience having played for the likes of Walsall, Scunthorpe United and Southend United.
Sam started his career as a scholar at West Brom training with the likes of Kanu and Kevin Phillips. It was whilst at West Brom, he went on loan to Walsall and played under Dean Smith and even scored on his debut. Sam later signed for the Saddlers and went on to make over 150 appearances in all competitions. Whilst at Southend United, Sam captained the side for a number of games and was very influential in keeping The Shrimpers in League One in 2019.
Following his release from Southend in 2020, Sam played for Rushall Olympic who play in the Southern League Prem. We wish Sam the best of luck and he goes straight into the squad to fan Tonbridge Angles tomorrow.
