Match report from Nathan Rees

After the recent cup exit at the hands of Sutton United, the Tudors emphatically bounced back in a match that saw them face off against the opposition of North Greenford United.

It was a game that saw Hemel show no mercy to the opposition as they put 9 past Lee Pearce. This goal threat was made ever present in the second half after a somewhat lacklustre first half performance from the Tudors.

It was North Greenford who broke the deadlock early on after a flurry of pressure on the Hemel defence. A perfectly weighted lobbed through ball fell kindly for Jeffrey Kalejaiye to beat Laurie Walker and put the ball into an empty net. An early setback for the Tudors. 1-0

Ben Mackey however pulled the goal back after a neat ball to feet from Hutton. The pass gave space for Ben to instinctively turn and equalise for the Tudors. 1-1

David Hutton found himself in space once more and with the crowd urging him to shoot from range, he didn't disappoint. His curling effort just wide of the mark. After a flurry of Hemel attacks they finally took the lead from a deep corner finding Ben Mackey at the back to head in his second. 2-1

The second half began with early substitutions for both sides as North Greenford's goal scorer Jeffrey Kalejaiye was replaced by Anton Robinson after picking up a yellow card.

Moussa Diarra was then given a rest while Daniel May took his place at the heart of the defence.

The Tudors started as they left off after the break as Ollie Thorne's bursting run broke the away defence and he unselfishly squared it to none other than Ben Mackey to grab his hat trick and celebrate with his trademark flip. 3-1

Hemel's new one month loanee Wilson Carvalho came on to replace Ollie Thorne. A quick interchange followed as Danny Talbot and Dave Pearce linked up well and gave him the space to cross, and a cross it was. It fell kindly for Wilson Carvalho to grab his first goal for the club after being on the pitch for less than 2 minutes. 4-1

The 5th came minutes later as Ben Mackey's seemingly goal bound shot cannoned of the post only for Dave Pearce to head home. Things went from bad to worse for North Greenford as a decent cross from the right was deflected in to his own net by Tommy Cameron. 6-1

For many the seventh was the goal of the afternoon. A clever series of passes between Jordan Parkes and Oliver Hawkins ended in Parkes' shot hitting the back of the net.

The Tudors showed no mercy as super sub Wilson Carvalho grabbed his second after some quick feet to beat his man and finish at the near post. 8-1

Jordan Parkes squared for Wilson Carvalho once more, the Port Vale loanee, to grab his well deserved hat-trick after coming on with 23 minutes to go.

The long awaited final whistle eventually blew for North Greenford to end the game at 9-1.

It will give the Tudors an inspired boost for the upcoming fixture against Bashley in the Calor league on Tuesday evening at Vauxhall road.
