Best performance of the season

Lucy gets off the mark with 4

On a wet morning at Astley Cooper the rain didn't seem to bother our girls as they put in their best performance of the season to run out 5-1 winners against St. Albans City.
Lily opened the scoring midway through the first half but St. Albans replied soon after as the ball slipped past player of the match Charmain, our stand in goalie in Mollys absence. That was the only blot on another victory that keeps up our 100% record in the league.
Lucy then made it 2-1 however St. Albans almost hit back immediately from the kick off but for a great save from Charmain.
Into the second half and the girls played brilliantly with some excellent passing from all the players. Lucy took 3 more chances to make the final score 5-1 and her own tally to 4 but it was a great team effort today and the girls should be proud of themselves.
A hard County Cup fixture away to Harvesters awaits us next week.
