Marcel Schidlowski, Stefan Mannebach and a new face Marc Uhlenbrock (regular Tudors fan Alexander Siepmann couldn't join us this time) flew in to England on Friday and spent the weekend in Hemel Hempstead. The lads have seen The Tudors twice before, our win at Poole last season and our draw at home to Ebbsfleet earlier this season; it was inevitable that they'd eventually see Hemel lose and unfortunately it was this weekend when we made the short journey to title-chasing Borehamwood.
Marcel, Stefan and Marc joined Tudors Supporters Club members in the Vauxhall Road bar early on Saturday, as usual they brought with them a bottle of Killepitsch to share and once a few shots had been consumed, the fans all boarded the supporters coach to Borehamwood. Unfortunately, The Tudors lost 1-0, a win that moved 'Wood back to the top of the league table, but the self proclaimed "German Tudor Army" (they had t-shirts with the slogan written on them made especially for this trip) weren't too downbeat and joined a handful of regular Hemel fans and some of the club officials in the Vauxhall Road bar before going on to some of Hemel's other popular nightspots.
As usual, the lads spent their Sunday visiting other football grounds in and around London before heading back to Stansted for their flight home... however the latest report from Marcel is that hey missed their flight (maybe someone should've told them our clocks went forward last night).
We're looking forward to seeing the German Tudor Army again soon, some Hemel fans are planning to fly out to Düsseldorf next season and take in a local game with our long distance Tudors fans so watch this space as maybe we'll make a Supporters Club trip of it.
