HEMEL V POOLE PREVIEW

6 months ago By Marc Willmore

The Tudors take on The Dolphins at Vauxhall Road this weekend.

The Tudors go in to this game on the back of two consecutive wins, bouncing back from defeat at home to Hungerford a fortnight ago by beating fellow promotion hopefuls Braintree and Chelmsford last Saturday and Tuesday respectively. Hemel moved very briefly in to second position in the Vanarama League South on Tuesday night, ahead of Hampton & Richmond on goal difference whilst 3-0 up against Chelmsford, however the late goal conceded meant that we progressed to third in the table.

With four of the other teams currently positioned in play-off positions playing each other on Saturday, our home game against Poole is an an excellent opportunity to establish Hemel at the top end of the league table.

Poole Town currently occupy a relegation position; they'll be better rested than Hemel as their midweek game was postponed, last weekend they lost 2-3 at home to Welling. The Dolphins haven't won a league game since 9th December.

We are expecting a large attendance for this game, Vauxhall Road and the surrounding streets are likely to be very busy during the time leading up to kick off. Please consider arriving early to ease congestion at the turnstile and please be considerate to the local community if driving and parking in nearby residential areas. Entry to this game will be at turnstiles accessed via the Vauxhall Road car park ONLY. The turnstile at the Tenzing Road side of the stadium (located in the car park of the Dacorum Education Support Centre) will NOT be open for the game; likewise the car park there is unavailable for fans. Visitors to Vauxhall Road travelling by car should seek alternative parking arrangements and consider public car parks at nearby Queens Square and the car park at Travellodge/Toby Carvery accessible from Maylands Avenue, both of which are just a short walk away.

Vauxhall Road Admission prices:

  • Adult: £12
  • Concessions: £8
  • Under 18: £4
  • Under 12: £1
  • Match Day Programme: £2.50

Concessionary price is available for over 65's, students in full-time education and military personnel. Identification will be required.
