The Tudors open the new 2015/16 season with a home game against The Darts.

After the summer break, we finally return to action at Vauxhall Road, with the visit of Dartford who join us in the Vanarama National South after relegation last season. After a busy pre-season schedule, The Tudors first competitive game of 2015/16 was at Hitchin Town on Monday night in the Herts Charity Cup. Hemel beat The Canaries 0-2, with a goal in each half from Wilfred Gnahore and Jamal Lowe.

Today’s visitors Dartford return to the National League South Division after three years in the national division; The Darts were relegated last season after finishing 22nd, their highest league position was 16th, where they spent the first two games of the season. Winning only eight games over the course of the season was never form that would drag Dartford away from the relegation dogfight, for the second consecutive season they finished in the relegation zone and this time they faced a return to the second tier of the non-league game.

When asked if he had any expectations of our opponents, Tudors manager Dean Brennan stated: "I watched them play near the end of last season, against Gatehead, and I was impressed with them. Dartford are a powerful side with dynamic speed. It's a big jump from this league to the next, so I understand the circumstances that led to them being here. Their manager knows this division well, they've great travelling support and it'll be a fantastic opening game for us." For the rest of the interview with Dean, you can buy the match day programme for £2.50 at Vauxhall Road on Saturday or click here to download a digital copy now for your PC, tablet or smart phone for £1.20.

We are expecting a large attendance for this game, Vauxhall Road and the surrounding streets are likely to be very busy during the time leading up to kick off.
