The official Hemel Hempstead Town FC app

By Dean Chance

Hemel Hempstead Town is proudly working in partnership with Dacorum Borough Council to support White Ribbon UK.

Dacorum Borough Council has recently been accredited as a White Ribbon Council. White Ribbon UK works to end male violence against women and the council has joined with White Ribbon as part of its campaign to challenge domestic abuse in all its forms. Domestic abuse can affect all genders but statistics show that most abuse is committed by men on women. The council is working with Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club to raise awareness and encourage all men to challenge violence and abuse against women and girls.

Every year, White Ribbon UK undertakes 16 days of action in November and both the council and Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club support this initiative which will involve various activities to raise awareness. This year's campaign starts on Saturday 24th November 2018, but due to the clubs fixture list activity at the club will take place at Vauxhall Road on Saturday 8th December, for our home game versus Dulwich.

Furthermore, we invite you to visit the White Ribbon website and pledge your support:

If you are a victim of Domestic Abuse or require support, local assistance can be accessed from:
Hertfordshire Sunflower -
Safer Places -
Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline -

Fact: 6 out of 7 victims of abuse are women; 9 out of 10 offenders are men.
